Cars for the Cure

For the past five years, car collectors and luxury and exotics enthusiasts in the central Florida region have come together to make Cars For the Cure not only a fun and exciting event, but a chance to give back to the community. Sponsors and registrants for the event have offered their time and passion to the show, held in Lake Mary, Florida. The 2009 display successfully raised an impressive $54,540 for the American Lung Association. Sponsors such as Classic Audi and Titan Motorsports donated fleets of their beautiful luxury vehicles to be showcased and judged. A couple of this year’s highlights include the 1050 hp Toyota Supra and a camoflauge Porsche 996 twin turbo. The red carpet award this year went to Ron Tridico and his SLR Roadster and a 360 Chellege was the recipient of the prestigious Distinction Award. Award categories recognized Asian, German and Italian luxuries as well as Dodges, Corvettes and Fords among others.
Whith the clear success of the 2009 event, the 2010 event is already scheduled for February 5th-7th 2010. Owners and sponsors are strongly urged to register for this charitable and fun experience. Sponsors and participants will be treated to a VIP party on the 5th at an exclusive local restaurant to be announced. The auto show and judging will be Saturday, February 6th from 10am to 4pm. Concluding the celebration will be a Sunday drive, open to those who registered their vehicles. A police escort will lead a fast-paced caravan Sunday morning, cruising scenic highways in the area, a fun experience for those who will helped with the event and donated thier time and passion.
