High security, high drama, high fashion and high level of anticipation at Trump International
Where else than Palm Beach would Porsche authorize the unveiling of it’s all-new four door Panamera two days in advance – prior to the October 17th date set for the National launch?
With over 1,000 of Palm Beach’s finest car enthusiasts attempting to RSVP the 350 slots to be the first to preview the car, Braman’s Event Reservation Department was overloaded and scrambling to assure that the event would not be over crowded.
Security was tight and guests were treated to Donald Trump’s very best serviings of Hors D’Oeuvres ranging from lobster to lamb and everything in-between as the Lynn String Quartet and the Porsche family of cars greeted everyone on arrival .
Welcoming the guests was the event’s host; Vince Cerone, Braman’s General Manager and COO, who proclaimed the evening “historic and unprecedented for Porsche” referring to the first ever 4-door production Porsche in its history.
Three versions of the Panamera were on hand; the S, 4S and the Turbo which was veiled to await the official unveiling as the top model of the Panemara line-up.
The beauty of handcrafted, timeless luxury jewelry from Kaufmann de Suisse, inspired by the symmetry of art deco and the romantic fluidity of art nouveau shimmered brightly when combined with Escada’s 2009 collection.
Even the famous studio of Frederic Fakkai was on hand to present hair and makeup for the fashion models.
At 8pm, the lights were dimmed and a gigantic projector screened beamed images of the late Dr. Ferry Porsche extolling the virtues of Porsche’s timeless engineering, beauty and the reason for racing so hard; the pursuit of endurance. This culminated in the unveiling of the ultimate Panamera; the Panamera Turbo.
Also fashion show featured a selection of sixteen evening gowns and cocktail dresses compliments of Escada, a leading international luxury brand which is synonomous with elegant, feminine fashion that celebrates color.
Mr. Steve Krysal, Marketing and Retention Manager for Porsche Cars of North America was flown in for the honor of presenting the new Porsche to the exclusive Palm Beach crowd.
Afterwards, the sounds of the Ever So Klever swing band continued the festivities as the Trump organization kept the food and drinks flowing. The evening ended with gift presentatons to all guests that included a hard-bound commemorative Panamera book and a USB drive disguised as a Panamera ignition key. On the USB were videos of Braman customer track events, Porsche history, the Panamera design and build stages, customer testimonials and a brochure in eight languages.
All Braman Porsche Specialists were grateful for another successful Braman launch. One that will go down in the record books.
