The Barrett-Jackson Auction Company is welcoming all Palm Beach-area automotive enthusiasts to bring their vehicles to Wayne Akers Ford on March 28, 2010, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., for the 3rd Annual Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Cruise-In. Entry into the car show is free and all makes and models are welcome. Barrett-Jackson officials will be on hand to meet enthusiasts, judge entries and present three “Barrett-Jackson Choice Awards.” A “People’s Choice Award” will also be voted on by car show participants.

The first 100 registered entries will receive two free tickets to the 8th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Palm BeachApril 1-3, 2010, at the Americraft Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds. Hot dogs, hamburgers and additional refreshments will be on sale to benefit charity, along with a “split-the-pot” raffle. A live radio remote and DJ are also scheduled for entertainment at the cruise-in.

“Interacting with local enthusiasts in Palm Beach has become my favorite part of our annual Florida auction,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “The diversity of cars owned by true ‘car people’ in that part of the country is amazing. I can’t wait to see what will show up at Wayne Akers Ford bright and early this year.”

The 2011 Shelby GT350 prototype is scheduled to be on site during the event. Rights to serial number 350 of the limited edition Mustang will be sold during the Barrett-Jackson auction on April 3. Young entrepreneurs and auto aficionados, John Temerian and David Lee Adams, alongside new partner Jan Otto, have recently announced the launch of Supercar Experience— A series of racy, high-tech mega-events.

Temerian, who produced the first Supercar event of its kind, Palm Beach Supercar Weekend 2005, in conjunction with Donald J. Trump and Barclays International Realty, assures that the 2010 experience will be ‘larger than life’, boasting state-of-the-art technology, innovative design, premier luxury, and of course the world’s largest, most impressive collection of privately owned supercars.

“2010 SCX is not just a showcase, but a comprehensive experience”, added co-founder David Lee Adams. “This national celebration is the product of a power-house team of event producers, race car drivers, supercar owners, and entrepreneurs. John Temerian was raised surrounded by exotic autos. Through his passion for supercars, John parlayed his ‘expertise’ and honed his ‘locomotive’ abilities, cultivating personal relationships with car owners, CEO’s and other decision makers, whose relationships would prove to be instrumental to the launching of Palm Beach Supercar Weekend, and again with Supercar Experience. As one of the youngest, and most successful entrepreneurs in the auto industry, John has been called upon to partner with exclusive brands and events, including the 2008 Jaguar XF Prototype Launch for Jaguar North America, 2008 Ferrari Fort Lauderdale Toys for Tots Exotics Rally, and the launch of the Spada Codatronca supercar to North America to which he is a founding member of Spada Design North America.

David Lee Adams’s love for cars was the conduit for his partnership with Temerian. In 2002 Adams partnered as an agent and financial investor with an exotic car dealership, purchasing and selling unique and significant automobiles. Continually building his repertoire of clients, and gaining respect in the business world, Adams branched out to other markets, working with high end real estate developers and reputable jewelry houses including Jack Sutton Jewelry, Berger Jewelry and Company, and Raymond Lee Jewelers. Today, David can be seen on Fox Sports as a cast member on the destination fishing show ‘Reel Adventures’.

Jan Otto joins Supercar Experience after starting Supercar Life, the premier on-track supercar driving company in 2006 and selling it in 2008. Throughout his life and career, Jan has always enjoyed automobiles, especially luxury and exotic sports cars. The opportunity to join SCX builds on his ability to create value for car owners and admirers around experiencing them personally, whether at a track or at a show. His goal is to continue to build on John Temerian’s vision of creating a social climate where private owners of supercars may join together to share their cars with their peers and the general public by way of a great show and party.

The Cavallino Classic probably the world finest Ferrari event in the world, painted the streets of Palm Beach red for almost a week again. Every year Ferraristi come from all over the world to enter their historic Ferraris into the show, which is hosted by Cavallino Classic Magazine’s publisher John Barns.

As usual the event was held at various venues. Palm Beach International Race Way (PBIR) for some racing, Rybovich Marina for a Yacht Hop, Jet Aviation which is one of the nicest car events in our opinion. This years grand Ferrari finale as always, the Concourse D’Elegance  on the lawn of the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach on Saturday followed by an award dinner. For results of the show click here.

Classic Sports Sunday Meets in Palm Beach..The exceptional week of Cavallino Classic activity in January of 2010 will be suitably crowned by an exclusive Sunday program. Classic Sports Sunday will be held for its ninth year at Mar-a-Lago, the legendary Marjorie Merriweather Post mansion in Palm Beach.

Classic Sports Sunday has been expanded in the last two years to include extraordinary pre- and post-war classic sporting automobiles. The response of significant vehicles from the Mar-a-Lago era has been rewarding, and this will continue on January 24, 2010 with many supremely elegant examples on display. The setting will be superb as always, with the historic and restored mansion and the pristine grounds adding to the tropical splendor.

120 vintage and classic sporting automobiles will be presented on the lawn. During the morning, refreshments will be served as participants and guests vote for their favorite automobiles in several categories. A jury of international automotive experts will also judge the examples by class.

There will be over sixty Ferraris of all types and years, from a 166 MM to the latest 458 Italia. Among the other marques will be historic pre-war Alfa Romeos, elegant Aston Martins, racing and production Jaguars, Maserati race and street cars, futuristic Lamborghinis, stately Mercedes-Benz, grand old Rolls-Royce and Bentleys, lovely Delahayes and Bugattis, plus un- usual but superb examples of coachbuilt Fiats, Lancias, Lagondas, Talbot-Lagos and others.

All the Awards will be presented at the charity brunch at noon in the exquisite setting of the Mar-a-Lago ballroom. The Major Awards, the Palm Beach Cups, will be voted on by the participants and guests. The Class Awards, representing Best in Class and Excellence in Class, will be voted on by the distinguished Jury.

The 19th Annual Palm Beach Cavallino Classic will be presented in Palm Beach, Florida at The Breakers Resort Hotel, on January 19 to 24, 2010.

This extraordinary gathering is a six day convention for Ferrari owners and enthusiasts, with participants and their 400 Ferraris attending from the U.S. and Europe.

Benefiting from the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic are several important charities: the Children’s Wish Foundation, the Boys and Girls Club and the American Council of the Blind Scholarship Fund.

The first major event of the convention is the presti- gious Florida Trophy, a two day track meet at the new Palm Beach International Raceway on Thursday and Friday, January 21 & 22. Over 120 competition Ferraris revive memories of days gone by, as their owners let them loose again in a race course setting.

The second major event is the Tour of Palm Beach on Thursday, January 21. Up to 80 vintage and classic Ferraris tour through Palm Beach and along the Atlantic coastal roads. They leave from The Breakers and make stops at The Ritz-Carlton, Mar-a-Lago, and The Chesterfield Hotel, with a destination at Jet Aviation for the exclusive Jet Reception.

The high point of the week is the Concorso d’Ele- ganza on the front lawn of The Breakers Resort Hotel, on Saturday, January 23. 150 immaculate Ferrari automobiles are judged by leading international experts for originality and elegance, for Class Awards and the important Major Cups, along with The Cavallino Cup for Best in Show.

This exceptional week is crowned with an exclusive Sunday program… our Classic Sports Sunday at The Mar- a-Lago Club, the legendary Marjorie Merriweather Post mansion in old Palm Beach. 120 vintage and classic sport- ing automobiles from this romantic era are displayed on the lawn and the guests vote for their favorites. The two-day event features a vast array of activities and displays including and reaching beyond the world of exotics.  A multi-million dollar collection of exotic cars, yachts, powerboats and motorcycles will be showcased, compliments of Braman Miami Motorcars.  The Festival kicks off will a yacht-hop which will include fine cuisine, champagne and premium cocktails.  Another “can’t miss” reception leading up to the main event on Sunday will be held at the Viceroy Hotel, home to the largest Infinity pool in Florida.  The hotel will be kind enough to pick up the bar tab and offer themed gourmet food stations.  There will also be plenty of chances to win unbelievable prizes including a $1000 wristwatch.

Sunday, the main event of the Festival of Speed will take the stage, where guests can enjoy the beautiful South Florida weather at Bayfront Park in Miami, strolling among an overwhelming display of exotics such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin and Bugatti, just to name a few.  In addition to these luxury vehicles, ticket holders will also be exposed to the luxury lifestyle as well.  Fine wines, food and cigars will all be available at the event, offering an experience as astounding as the show.
